Looks like they've arrested the right guys. This also makes it clear why Pugh left the team -- he was initially present, groped the girl, but then bailed before the rape. Also looks like Mike Daniels and DJK will be the prosecution's star witnesses. I'm sure Tillison would have to testify as well.

Pretty disgusting.....geez-zuhs.
Just disgusting.
That pretty much covers what I'm feeling after reading that.

On a somewhat related note...
Last night when we were getting ready for bed, we heard a woman screaming outside. I couldn't tell where it was coming from, so I ran downstairs and looked around and couldn't see anything. I called 911 and the police came, but I don't know if they found anything. I just felt awful, and I was wondering if there was something more I should have done. Just a pretty helpless feeling. I can't imagine knowing that happened to someone I loved.

Good job.
When in Germany, a buddy and I were walking down the hall of a barracks and heard a girl yelling "No! Stop it!" So we knocked and opened the door to see what was going on. Once the guy saw us, he grabbed his shirt and bolted out of the room. According to the girl, she felt she was about to be raped. Unfortunately, she decided not to tell anyone and denied anything happened when she was questioned after my buddy and I told our COs. A month later she was in the hospital after being thrown down a flight of stairs by the same guy.

Disturbing, to say the least.
An entirely new perspective on the story, although I still don't understand why it took so long for the police to get involved.
I hope the bastards get the book thrown at them.

Lots of cowards revealed in that report...icluding at least two that could/should have protected this girl.
If convicted I wouldn't lose any sleep if they did 15-20 years for this.

Should have turned him into the MPs or the Polizei..I have no tolerance for men who toss women around like that. I would not hesitate to tear someone a new asshole if I witnessed something like that.

Hopefully that is what happens to them in prison!

Awesome, I thought I was done hearing about this type of crap after jury duty for 6 days...apparently not.

While we should have notified the MPs, she probably would have denied anything happened just like she did after we notified the CO.

my understanding is the victim took some time to initially report it and then it was HER decision to delay their arrests until she finished her school year.
plenty of people in IC have a pretty good idea who the girl is...more would have known had the arrests occurred earlier.

First of all, I do not condone anything that happened to this girl, do not think it was her fault for being raped, and think that both players involved in this should have the full consequences of what the law can do to them be performed. I then hope both end up as bloody red stains in the jail for someone the size of mike tyson for years to come.
That said, where the hell were her friends? Who lets their friends get that fucking drunk and then just lets them bail like that. Obviously, there is a lot missing due to her blacking out, but simple self preservation dictates that you do not let your wasted friends split off from the herd like that.
I fully blame the players for their actions, but I see some blame in the girl's friends for not supporting her in her moment of stupidity (drinking to blackout).

I too don't condone anything, but this girl was drinking to the point where she was blacking out. And she was sitting on their laps and playing up to them.
No, I'm not saying "she was asking for it"... but she certainly put herself in a very precarious position (no pun intended) if she wanted to maintain her personal safety and dignity.
Again I would reiterate, I am not coming down on the side of the players. She was bleeding, she remembers it hurting - clearly this was more than waking up after a night of drinking and regretting her actions after the fact and pressing charges. This is a no brainer.
