With the NCAA moving the 3pt. line back this year, won't this hinder the type of offense that Lickliter likes to play?

He'll need better shooters, that's for sure.

In the long run, it should help. The shorter 3 point line makes it so non shooters can have a decent 3 point percentage, where as a the longer distance will make shooter more of a premium, which is who Lickliter goes after in recruiting. As far as this upcoming season, no rule change will be able to help Iowa.

It also extends the offense forcing the defense to move out clearing out the middle for big men. If he doesn't get some quality big men soon his offense will live and die by the three.

Lickliter teaches offense?? Now that's funny. I couldn't stand to watch any goame last year because of the lack of offense on his team.. I don't expect much this year either..

I think this was more personnel driven than philosophy driven, if his Butler teams were any indication.
