Scheelhaase? The hats on the table will be Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Nebraska. The last two are reportedly not in serious contention. My guess is Kansas, as he just took a visit there with Cotton. If I had to guess the likelihood, I'd say Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, then Illinois.

Who knows, though. He's played it pretty close to the vest.

I'm saying Iowa. I have nothing but my gut to go on though. That being said, I don't think we need a QB this year. If Wienke or Vandenberg don't pan out, then I'll be nervous.

I say he will end up at Kansas and Cotton will announce Iowa sometime in the next two weeks.

Got about 30 minutes, but there has been a late internet rumor push that he could be headed to Illinois, which is sort of out of left field to me. I thought his choices would have been (in order):

1) Kansas
2) Oklahoma
3) Iowa

Losing a recruit= no biggie
Losing a recruit whose dad played at Iowa to the Zooker= kick in the junk

Although, I don't think we have to worry about Cotton going to Kansas now, if this Illinois rumor is true.

Not that I was really worried about Cotton in the first place.

I believe so.

Scheelhaase to Illinois is now true. At least I don't have to see Iowa fans butcher the spelling of his last name for 4-5 years.

What is the word on Jordan Reed? Or MacCarthy for that matter?

Nothing noteworthy on Reed that is new. I know he has some offers from BC and Florida, so it is going to be tough, despite the Iowa-family ties.

Don't know much on MacCarthy.
