OK boys, time to get yourselves on record. No waffling. What do you think the Hawks will end up with for a regular season record?

7-5 or 8-4.
I voted for 7-5 above.

8-4.
Wins against: Maine, FIU, Iowa St, Northwestern, Indiana and Minnesota
Losses against: Michigan St and Illinois
Split these 4 games: Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Penn St, Purdue
A decent bowl (Alamo or Champs Sports) and a chance at a 9th win in late December.

That is almost exactly how I see it.

I voted 8-4, but I have a nervousness in the pit of my stomach that the basis for that prediction is more sentimental than objective...there are at least 6 games where it's tough for me to say, right now, that we're at least 50% likely to win.

You sentimental sap ...
With that schedule Iowa should be 9 - 3. I went with 7 - 5, but upon further review I wish that I had selected 6 - 6. I do not believe that the coaches will pull Jake C. from the lineup before he has the chance to cost the team the games against Pitt and Indiana. Yes, they will beat ISU. At that point they will be 4 - 3 (losses to Pitt, Indiana and Michigan State). Stanzi will get the call, they will lose to Wisconsin, Illinois and Penn State, and finish 6 - 6.

This is one of my fears. Even if the coaches do yank Jake, I'm afraid that in typical Ferentz fashion, it won't happen until there are one or two avoidable Ls on the board.
