...maybe. Howard Schnellenberger, Gary Gibbs, and John Blake couldn't win there, OU just doesn't win by itself. Stoops would've been a success wherever he had gone. His logic in the article might be questionable to OU fans if true. If "the been there, done that for 10 years" is valid, maybe he'll be looking to move again..???? I believe they still come back and spend quite a bit of time in Iowa in the summer.

It's possible that he would've still taken the OU job if we'd put the full court press on, but this article doesn't go very far in convincing me that's the case. We'll never know.

There was a time I was completely convinced that, while Stoops might have won sooner at Iowa, he wouldn't have taken it to the heights Ferentz did and that Ferentz was a better "long term" choice. That feeling, however, is slowly fading.
