Do the Hawks have a realistic shot at this dude?

With Peterson being the only other true PG on the roster, he'd definitely get some big minutes right away, so I've got to think that's a plus.

He said in an interview (with Kakert at the other site) that his mother will also be a factor in his decision. I think Lickliter has the ability to really impress his mother, and I think Iowa has an excellent shot.

i have a good feeling about him. we have been recruiting him for a long time. his mom seems involved and we have some good role models on staff.

oh yeah, and he'll start from day one on a team full of shooters.

Sounds like Iowa hit a proverbial home run regarding his visit. Both him and his mom were very impressed. Still taking his visit to Lubbock this weekend, but I suspect he will announce shortly after that visit. He's already cancelled a visit to UCLA. Right now, I think he is Iowa's to lose.

Word is that Lick and staff went to Texas yesterday to put the full court press on this kid. If it comes down to Iowa, K-State and Texas Tech, I really like our chances.

Who is this Cobbs kid that is coming in this weekend? TK wrote in the VOTH that it may force Russell to give Iowa an indication of his intentions.

Cobbs is not a factor - he's a 6'1 PG out of Cali. He visited Minny last weekend and committed to Tubby and the Goophers

I don't think he commits this weekend. Why do Iowa fans immediately think the worst when a kid makes a second visit to a school? We really have no idea what is going on in his head.

But it does worry me in wondering how much $$$$ KSU will throw at the kid. I mean, the ARE paying an assistant coach $420k after all.
