I'm getting more and more excited about this kid. I think he'll help the team a great deal. And you've got to love his individual goal for the season:

"I want to win Big Ten defensive player of the year."

Some of the hoops junkies on the other boards have said about Davis that he's the guy that will always guard the opposing team's best player. Can't wait to see him get after it.

I saw a couple of the scrimmages before the fb games; hes not much of a scorer at all, but he can throw it down like a mini Doug Thomas. Not sure what to think of him as a ball handler, but he is well below Peterson in that regard. I dont think he will get enough minutes to win an award like that.

He's well below Peterson in ball-handling skills? I have high hopes for Jeff having a bounce-back season, but he was a walking turnover last year. If Davis can take care of the ball, make smart passes and play lock-down defense, I see him winning the PG spot.

Love the attitude, but I don't see him being more than the first or second guy off the bench type guy.

Hopefully he can prove me wrong.
