The stream seems way less choppy tonight.
Have had no problems so far.

I changed the speed to the 500 kps version last game and it automatically loaded it with it rather than the default 750 kps.....it seems to help a little.

This team is going to get killed on the boards against tall teams like OSU.

Two straight horrible turnovers while trying to break the press.

It was 29-24 a few minutes ago, but Iowa went on a run to end the half 40-28.

It's going to be rough this season but I still like this team a whole lot more than a year ago.

Nice hustle by Gatens to grab the missed shot and set up Cyrus the Virus.

I am no basketball expert, but I was always taught to break a press like 2-2-1 by having someone go to that open spot in the middle of the court and feeding him the ball with him turning around and find an open man.
They keep trying to break it by going down the sidelines, almost allowing them to get trapped by the defender and the sideline.

57-54 UTSA on a three-pointer. Then Iowa turns the ball over on a 10-second backcourt violation.

There's a North Carolina Central vs. Texas Pan-American game Sunday, December 5 at 11 a.m. at the Knapp Center as the final game of a round-robin tournament at Drake. I want to go with the 2 other people that will be there.

These remarks in November are always humorous.
Fellas, it's November. You're going to see some good teams get beat/taken to the wire by some mid-majors. It happens every year. Is it really surprising that a team full of freshmen and sophomores would be challenged by a team full of JUCOS? We're not going to be great this year, but tonight's performance doesn't mean we're doomed to a crappy year either. We've got 6 weeks of games and practice before we've got to play a Big Ten team. Sit back and watch. This is going to be a fun group before it's all said and done.

I agree. I didn't watch the game, so that obviously makes a difference. But after the game Lickliter said they didn't work much on the 2-2-1 press and shouldered the blame.
“They threw a lot at us that we really struggled with, and a lot of it is my fault.”
“My fault,” Lickliter said. “We hadn’t spent a lot of time working against a 2-2-1 press, and we struggled against it.”
Kind of refreshing to see a coach do that. :)
And 20 of 22 from the line helps win close games.
I'm still optimistic. Call me crazy.
