Are we DirectTv subscribers screwed again for tonight? Sure would be nice to see the Hawks play (without choppy, shitty streaming) sometime before Christmas.

It's on Mediacom Connections and BTN.com again. Norfolk State @ Michigan will be on the BTN tonight.

Come on.

It honestly has something to do with it I think. Probably doesn't have an impact on attendance figures because most of those people come from Iowa but for us outsiders it has had an impact. I will watch every single Iowa football and b-ball game I can. Naturally when I only get to see 2 or 3 non-conference games my interest decreases a bit.

This is the first season where I remember this being a problem, and not last season.

Game, to lay the blame for lack of interest on anything besides Alfraud is silly. He's what drove the team down, not the BTN.

So all the non-conference games were on BTN last year? I ask because I do not know, did not have BTN last winter. What has changed this year that they can no longer put them all on tv?

This sucks. I've emailed Barta and he said essentially it's just a few games and isn't that bad. I disagree. It's a surefire way to keep the program from getting some traction with its fanbase. And that's too bad - these kids play hard and deserve support.
