Some random oddities and what not while looking over the stats out of boredom tonight:

I know Iowa has been chucking the three-ball this year, but it sort of surprised me that they are shooting 41.7% from long range, 20th best in Division I. It is also the third best out of teams who have attempted at least 150 three-point shots this year.

I knew they were making them, but not this well so far.

Tucker's 3.9 three-point makes per game are the second most in Division I among freshmen. Although, it sort of surprised me he had only six assists on the season.

Gatens is shooting 57.9% from three-point range (11-for-19).

On the other hand, Brommer is only 3-for-14 (21.5%) from the free-throw line. Yikes.

Actually, him, Cole and Tate are combined shooting 31.3% from the free-throw line while the rest of the team is shooting 82.9%.

If they keep shooting 41% they could win a few more games than expected.

This one sticks out to me, for some reason.

On the other hand, Brommer is only 3-for-15 (20%) from the free-throw line. Yikes.

I thought of this thread while watching the end of the game at work.
