a unit is how you can track plays without letting actual dollar amounts get in the way. for example, my friend's dad has a bunch of friends in vegas that are professionals and send him plays. for them, a unit is probably $500. maybe more, i don't know. obviously that is well out of my means, so rather than advising people to put x-amount of dollars on a game when that number would be well out of their means, they break it down into units.

i've used different unit sizes in the past. at one point it was $10, another it was $25. for a long time i haven't bothered and just bet what i feel like (and that's when i get into trouble and become undisciplined.) with the start of baseball, i decided to just make 1 unit $5. so yes, i am sometimes only betting $1.50 on games. waste of time? probably. but i enjoy it, so back off.

so i'm currently up a whopping $9.25 since i started this thread. if i were a $500 gambler, i'd be up $925.

i didn't explain that as well i could have, but it should make sense. try not be a jackass again and berate me for spending so much time betting $2 so often on games.
