So I went to see Andrew Bird play at the Civic Opera House last night. It was on its way to being one of the best shows I have ever seen, until he dropped his violin and it broke. He is fucking incredible live, and it was cool to see him play a hometown show in such a unique venue. I'm kicking myself for not buying tickets to tonight's show as well...I guess I'll have to catch him next time through.

I caught him at 80/35 last year, which is far from an ideal venue for his type of show, but it was easy to see he's incredibly talented. I have a friend that saw him at a small church/chapel (that held no more than 200 people) and he said it was amazing.
