Any fans?

I have had people pimp this band non stop over the last couple months. I tried listening to a couple songs a couple weeks ago, but I couldn't get into it. I think some of the reason was that I was annoyed by how much people were telling me they are good.

I decided to randomly give them a second chance tonight and I am about mid way through The '59 Sound album and I have to say they are not bad. Maybe not as great as people were pimping them to me, but much better than what I was expecting.

Yes, me, about ten different times on here.

They have a different sound and a different vibe, not your general pop/punk... they do more lost love, dead relatives, melancholy type stuff.

Not really Friday music, but they are damn good and refreshing... I think.

I heard a funny, yet slightly true way to describe their sound: Bruce Springsteen as the lead singer of a Cure cover band.
