View Full Version : If we did beat PSU, the poll jump would be largest ever
for the Hawkeyes, would it not? I'm no historian, but it would be impossible for us not to move up about 15 spots in the polls. IMHO.

No, Penn State would drop out all together.

This.
PSU will be #26, Iowa #27.

Seriously, we'd be no higher than #20.

Who cares, i love being under the radar, and the team plays better with a chip on their shoulder. Besides, the bowls just see us as a $$ and if we take care of business we will be playing in a good bowl, ranked or not.

i am totally expecting something gay like OSU #9 PSU #12 Iowa #15...2 3-0 teams, 1 wins and still is ranked behind the other, I wouldn't be surprised.
On a side note regarding the poll...In 02 Iowa went from unranked to 20, to 14, to top 10 pretty quickly. The polls still mean nothing at this point.

Iowa will be top 15 in at least one poll if they win this game. Not top 10, however.

A simple map will tell you who will be ranked where. Iowa is not east enough.
