Didn't see it, but I did watch some of two Maryland games featuring Bias on ESPN Classic earlier this evening.

...I have no idea why, but I can recall a lot about where I was and what the day was like when I heard he died.

This show was very interesting; to hear the stories of those involved the night of Bias' death was bone chilling. Well worth checking out, imo.

I set the DVR to record it, can't wait to watch it. I remember after he died and reading the article about it in SI back in the day.

It's interesting how it dispelled the rumors about it being Len Bias' first time experimentation with cocaine.

Cocaine was like alcohol with college basketball at that time period.

The whole 30 for 30 has been excellent. The one about the Baltimore Colts band has been my favorite so far.

You could almost cry when you heard about one of the Colt's biggest fans. He'd greet the players coming back from a road trip every single time and bake a birthday cake for every player.

That first year when the Colts played in Indianapolis, on opening day, that guy went to an empty Memorial Stadium and sat in his seat. Barry Levinson was stunned when he heard that. Can't imagine how heartbroken that guy was.

I wish they were making these available somewhere online (Hulu, etc). I'd like to see many of them, but they aren't rerun terribly often.

He died many years ago and a few of those old Baltimore Colts players, including Johnny Unitas were pallbearers at his funeral.

When is the Steve Bartman one?

It's going to be either the last or one of the last episodes to air.

I thought the tribune was saying last week that they haven't even started filming.

Next week is the Reggie Miller vs. the 90s Knicks one that I have been waiting for. It was done by Dan Klores, who did the ESPN Black Magic one a a couple years ago that was exceptional.

According to ESPN's website they aren't airing any more new ones until March.

Naturally they schedule the marathon of them during the New Year's bowl games. It seems that they have been generally praised from a quality standpoint, but it appears that no one is tuning in. The first one ran up against the Twins/Tigers one-game playoff, that and a poor opening topic (Gretzky trade is not exactly a huge thing for most US fans) probably killed any momentum they could have picked up.

Could have sworn I saw an ad for the Reggie Miller one for next Sunday night while watching the U last night.

Looking at the schedule, I see it is scheduled for a Sunday in March. Weird that they ran the ad now. I just remember seeing Sunday out of the corner of my eye.

This one on Miami has been fantastic.

I got to watch it a few nights ago. It reminded me how much I really miss The U of old.

Watched the one on the U last night......I remember watching most of those games, but the extent of taunting that went on then compared to today's college football, was amazing.

Some of the quotes from former U players were absolutely hilarious....Leon Searcy, "They expected me to eat on $30 a day? No wonder guys had to sell drugs and steal"....LOL!
