Yes. Picking up one spot on them from a week ago certainly shifts things in their favor.

Actually, it doesn't really matter where Penn St and Iowa are ranked if they are both in the top 14. It will have no bearing on the selection.

How does stanford go from jumping up the polls (and leapfrogging Iowa) to falling out of both in one week? Voters are crazy this year.

Iowa would shut out LSU in a bowl game. It might be 6-0, but LSU is horrible offensively.
