Who's doing the restoration? Is it a private party? I know the owner that had it in the 60's and 70's wanted to but the cost was astronomical. I had an office on the ground floor in the 70's in this building, every time it rained you had to bring out the buckets, lots of them. Wright's flat roofs ya know.

But it truly was a beautiful building in it's day.

It's a private group, Wright on the Park (http://www.wrightonthepark.com/).

Should be cool when it's finished. Sad to think that some people in Mason City wanted to raze the only FLW hotel left in existence. Another group wanted to convert it to subsidized apartments for the needy. Nice idea, I suppose, but that would be similar to converting Independence Hall into a HUD development.
