the only reason i would want HBO is to watch true blood. i hate vampire shit and cannot stand twilight and refuse to watch it, but that show is badass.

Don't know. We were notified of 3 free months in our customer appreciation "Christmas card" from DirecTV, but we've been with them a couple years now.
