Do you do it because you believe that you can make money doing it (therefore you feel that you're significantly smarter than the average sports gambler), because it makes the games more interesting to watch, or a bit of both?

I put 80 bucks in a bodog account and will just play it until i run out. If I make money, cool, if not...well its just 80 dollars.

It does make a game like OU-Stanford or OKC Thunder-LA Lakers on a tuesday night in december watchable.

The games are more interesting to watch. Lots more interesting.

Sure, I like to win money. I won some last year, I'm down this year a little. Overall, it's entertainment. Hypothetically.

Yeah right, be honest Robert, you've never placed a bet in your life have you?

I made one bet, about 20 years ago on the Hawks. I think it was 10 bucks and I can't remember if I won or lost. I just will not bet on anything I can't control, and for some reason I see you the same way.

gus started with 200 in his acct in Nov and is up to around 1000 now, but I don't believe it's worth it for two reasons. First, he put about 40 on NW and has all but chewed his hand off listening to the game. Second, while gus is very good at betting on NCAA, his results make him over confident and he then starts betting on NFL which then doesn't go so well.
