You're not a man unless you make it to Florida before you quit for the day!

Received an automated message last night that our flight was cancelled by U.S. Air. After a mini-heart attack, I was able to find a flight that gets us in a little later tomorrow evening. Leave MSP at 10:30, arrive in Miami at 6:10. I'll take it.

Is that even the half-way point? I'll warn you now, be prepared to be in the State of Georgia for 12 hours tomorrow. It doesn't look like it, but that state is long as hell.

More than half way by about 100 miles.

I'm not scheduled to get to Miami until Sunday, so I can half ass it if I wish and be fine.

Chattanooga will be our stopping point tomorrow as well. Figuring on 11-12 hours. Ugh.

Pssh. I did 13 hours from Atlanta to home by myself (decided to jog over to Cape Girardeau and avoid Illinois which takes a bit longer...and got stuck in a storm and then STL rush hour). It was actually a much easier drive than Miami to Atlanta even with the storm and rush hour, I thought.

Yikes. The drive sounds painful. I'll be there Monday assuming the nice people at Northwest airlines are on time.

I drove from DSM to Charlotte, and then back, 'non-stop' this past summer. 16 and a half hours each way. I couldn't imagine adding another 8 hours or so to that drive. I'd be suicidal.

Charlotte is a great town. Hopefully you had a chance to make to Phil's or Ri Rah's.

I once did Tampa to Albia, Iowa in about 17 hours. Straight through, just stopped for gas.

Sounds like a porno movie description.
