I thought this was odd until I looked closely at the link and realized it was about the NBA.

If this is true, I would say the players should be suspended for at least the rest of the season. These athletes need a message sent that if you make it to the big time, you must leave your thug life behind.
Jebus. Absolutely unbelievable. The league has to send a message. This is one of the more ridiculous sports stories I've ever heard. Two NBA millionaires thugging it up in a locker room. Wow.

How could they not be fired and banned for life? Can you imagine any other scenario where you could pull a gun on a coworker and not be in jail?

If there is another NBA expansion could we at least have some realistic names. You know, like the Las Vegas Thugs or the El Paso Killas.

Agree completely. This is a nightmare scenario. If the league doesn't come down harshly, well, probably nothing will happen. :^)

Maybe it is time to change the Washington Wizards back to the Washington Bullets.

Were I the GM of the Wizards I would be examining Arenas' contract to see if this could allow me to void it under a morals clause.
No chance that he could duplicate his current ridiculously large salary if he became a free agent.

No defense.
yes, it is the NBA, we know. But what does the lack of them playing defense have to do with the aforementioned?

It's not really the NBA anymore either. It just the Dwayne Wade, Lebron, Kobe or the one player on the teams game.
The other 4 guys playing are just fillers....
Tyler Smith could have moderated.

Suspended for the rest of this season. Not nearly long enough, IMO. Stern sucks.

I'm not sure if the CBA would have allowed it, but they really ought to have considered a lifetime ban. The NBA's rep needs it.
