View Full Version : How messed up is this Jacen Peek family

Everything about the Jacen Peek case makes me furious.

How messed up is this mom. Denying the kid a chance to see his biological dad and signing the BS stepdad-was-a-great-guy defense letter authored by the stepdad's family. Allowing him to be bullied/abused by the stepdad to the point he wanted to (and did) kill him. She should be charged with something, as should the real dad who couldn't be bothered to pay enough child support to maintain visitation rights. Maye if he'd had some contact in the last two years, he might have figured out how bad this situation was getting.

The final straw - cutting him off from his two grandmothers, who from what I can tell, are the only ones concerned about him.

It seems to me that if Peek wants an attorney who'll make sure that her son is convicted, she might as well let Kutmus represent him.

If the mother was like most women in these situations she was cutting him off entirely from his son. There's no way son should ever be left with the divorced mother. This is the result of it. Women are psychopaths.

Being authoritarian does not make someone a psychopath.

Phil, is that the best you can do? Not even a token shout-out to the abusive stepdad here?

Every adult in this kid's life failed him. I'll even throw some teachers under the bus here.

Why? Do we know that the boy's alleged abuse when unnoticed and unreported by his teachers?

This dad didn't fail him. Our legal system that gives more rights to the mothers just because of their sex failed him.

This doesn't seem like the place to make a victim out of the biological dad but you go ahead.

No, we don't know that. Hard to imagine that this kid was a superstar at school if there were this many problems at home, so I hope there was some intervention.

Maybe no one at the school noticed. Or maybe they did and did nothing. All I know is I've made dozens of abuse reports to DHS, and I'd estimate 25% are founded. And I'd also guess my success rate is much higher than the average school employee, based on my experience with these matters.

I'm not necessarily throwing DHS under the bus either, although I've seen them do some real headscratchers. Sometimes, abuse is really hard to prove, particularly in cases, like this one, when neither parent is willing to cooperate.

There's plenty of injustice to go around. The effects of the systemic oppression of men in our society is far reaching.

Not all of the effects are bad though, it does make men work harder from an early age and trains us to be more productive, less whiny, smarter and more creative than our female counterparts.

So I suppose it's a wash in the end.

All right, that's it. Phil is on the list.
