Love it. My favorite atmosphere for sushi in town and it matches Myabi9 for quality. We're planning on going this weekend actually.
They have odd hours so check beforehand to see if it's open. We ended up at Zimms last weekend because Sakari wasn't open.

Funny, I ended up at Jethros last saturday because sakari was closed. As was Miyabi9 because they were remodeling or something to that effect.

Yep, that's why we didn't go there too. We were actually deciding between going to Jethros for a meal or Zimms for an appetizer and couple beers.

It's probably to half a dozen now that a few have recently closed. There's more places that have sushi, but only 5 or 6 that specialize in it and are good. Hell, Hy-Vee sells 'sushi'-like substance.

They have that same brand of crap in some of the grocery stores here too. Although some grocery stores now have a sushi co. making fresh stuff right in the store. It's good stuff, and cheaper than going to a restaurant.

It's owned by a buddy of mine, great food. Try the snake roll. That sounded gay.

The sushi at Super Target is decent.

wok in motion at West Glen is good too
There are a lot of good Sushi places down here. I don't eat it very often because a lot of the good places are expensive but I could eat it for lunch every day with no problem.

Sushi's OK, but I much prefer sashimi (sp?).
Love that stuff.

I've played with the idea of getting tuna and salmon as sashimi, but I tend to get stuck in a rut and don't like to try new things :) I do love me some raw tuna and salmon. Maybe I can sneak some by Mr. S tomorrow night :) (oh, no dear, this isn't raw, it was lightly steamed...)

El Patio. It was one of the first Mexican places in DSM.

the sushi rice was a bit sweeter than I like it, but the free saki bomb for having my bike helmet with me made up for it.

El Patio may be the worst restaurant in the entire metro area. And this is coming from a guy who likes Mexican food.

Maybe you wanted to eat Tex Mex. For that, try El Aguila.
