If the House passes the Senate bill as is (which is the strategy), then it goes to the President for signature, and becomes law. Just curious as to who supports this monstrosity.

I do not think it is socialist enough. But I would like him to sign it.

1. Certainly not without taking out the "most favored state" provisions.
2. With those provisions out, I'm largely ambivalent. It will make the current situation better in some ways and worse in others, and I haven't formed a definitive view as to which way that tilts.

We have to do something. The "uncovered " patients that go to the ER as their regular Doctor are killing us. That is why health care is busting all of us.
So yes- Pass the bill.

After we pass the bill, it will be free to treat those patients! It's a no brainer!!!!

Here is what my insurance company does...they CHARGE ME A TON if I use the ER. It makes me NOT want to use it unless I need it.
How about that? Will that work?

There are "covered" patients that do the same goddamned thing. It is a habit for many, especially the people on SCHIP or other types of county/state subsidized plans.

Gus was spraying blood everywhere one time and I took him to Urgent Care. We got right in with no problems, my guess is they didn't want him to sit there pooling blood all over the new carpet freaking out the little kids with a fever. The next time he was squirting blood everywhere the Mercy ER was closer so we went there, and it took FOREVER for him to get the dang stitches.
Ancedotal, but fun.

Mercy Hospitals = Mercy Killings. What a horrid, horrid excuse for a hospital. I pray every time we go home we never need any medical care.
