They're having trouble getting workers even though the pay is a not bad $20. an hour.

I wonder if I can do it part time. That's not bad money for an easy job.

My uncle is serving as a supervisor for the census. They're having a terrible time finding people who can pass the test.

Only paying 10.75/hour here for actual census takers.

My dad, who is incapable of not working during his "retirement" is doing this as well. He is trying to find people to work in the rural south. It's not going well.

The biggest problem seems to be they're trying to match workers with the neighborhoods they live. Some neighberhoods are not producing willing workers.

My dad's problem is that 95% of the people who take the test are retarded to the point where they cannot be trusted to do the following:

* Locate households
* Explain the purpose of the census
* Conduct brief personal interviews with residents
* Record responses on paper forms

Of the 5% that remain, roughly 0.3% are psychologically stable and do not have multiple violent crime convictions.

Can't we hire some Mexicans to do it for like $2.50/hr? Think of the money the gov't would save.

Cut unemployment benefits... stop paying people not to work and they'll work.

Hold it...you're saying America's workforce isn't the best and the brightest? What a vast majority of the people on the internet boards like this don't fully realize is that you are TOTALLY insulated from 60% of the US population. Oh...you think you know people from all walks...and how things are...but you don't. We see and compare ourselves with others like us...and even the dullest of posters on these boards are more informed than the average users (ok...95% of the posters).

Our schools are failing. We've created a generation of moronic dip shits that think they're special and any effort...no matter how poorly executed or entirely half assed it is...is worthy of reward. The only thing that is worse than their work ethic...is their lack of any real job skills.

What these kids really need is a free college education...that would really help.

Most historians agree that Jesus was likely a homosexual. It certainly explains why all of his apostles left their wives for him.

A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

He was. He was indeed. Not many people would argue with that fact.

You're wrong, Phil. It has often been claimed that Hitler was a Christian, but the weight of evidence is against it.
