Flying down to Florida for the rest of the week for work. Same time somebody obviously went through my wallet or something and got my credit card info. My debit, personal credit card and corporate card were all automatically shut down as on all of them, the banks knew they were being used fraudulently before I had even noticed anything. They were all with Bank of America which has made this a little easier.

That is great, but how the fuck am I supposed to rent a car tomorrow? Earliest they can have new card to me is Wednesday. Enterprise will apparently do it if you put a large enough cash deposit, but they don't do it at the airport location.

Any advice?

Buy some credit card information from a Russian website. Might even be yours.

Ouch. That blows.

Take cabs for a day. It's doable unless you are changing cities.

Otherwise, it's Greyhound for you.

Cabs should work tomorrow I think. Flying into Orlando and have a meeting about 6 miles away in Kissimmee, that should be feasible.

Shiiiiiit.. Unless you have clients to entertain, I'd just cab it the whole time. But I fucking hate Orlando, and I try to just hide in my hotel the whole time I am there.

That said, if you like Cuban food, and you do get some wheels, Samba room is pretty decent.

7468 Snad Lake Road
Orlando, FL 52819
407-226-0550

It might be 'Sand Lake' road, and not Snad, but that's how I have it in my contact book. I haven't been there in a couple of years, but I have been 4-5 times. Their Paella is tasty, and their Mojitos and (name slips my mind, other popular Cuban drink) are always top notch.

Another place that's somewhat off the touristy path:

Emeril's Tchoup Chop
6300 Hollywood Way,
Orlando, FL 32819
Tel: (407) 503-2467

It's not the best place, but it's got a nice menu and very reasonable prices. I've taken clients there before that followed the governmental rules on 'gifts', and was pleased with the ambiance, service, and food preparation.
