For those that don't know, this is a monthly magazine put out by the Iowa Bar Association.

This month, on the front cover: Kerry Burt.

Seriously people!

Yeah, the whole thing is a disaster. One of the senior partners at my firm emailed Dwight Dinkla at the ISBA. The response was essentially: yeah, that was a major eff up on our end. We cannot apologize enough for it.

Well, he has kept lawyers for the state, as well as ones trying to keep him out of jail, quite busy in the past couple of years.

Probably in production prior to indictment for Price Lab, but certainly post-OWI. Not sure what the thought was putting a disgraced Wahawk on the cover.

Are they confused? They're using the word 'bar' in the wrong context.

Wasn't it almost a year ago that the Price Lab thing came out?

I haven't received my April edition yet. It's gonna look great on top of the giant unread pile of them in the corner of my office.

They always compare themselves to East, so they assign to themselves a misplaced sense of glory. Upon leaving the 'loo it takes them years - if ever - to understand their place in the universal pecking order.

Also one of their schools colors is (unofficially) pink.

Old Rose.

The remaining portion of your post is simply a shallow analysis of a dynamic issue.

Inside joke BB; lotsa Iowa lawyers here. Kerry Burt, a former Iowa football player, is a state rep from the Waterloo area who was disgraced last year with an OWI. Plus there's some hoopla surrounding the fact he supposedly lied about his address in order to obtain state aid for his sons tuition, thus bilking the state out of thousands of dollars.

There was another treasure in the issue. In the "In Memoriam" section, some guy by the name of Day died too young at age 60. In the "Positions Available" section of this same wonderful issue his small firm is advertising an open atty position. Too soon?

I'm not sure you understand what Glen was saying.

Come to think of it, that actually makes it funnier.
