Has Terry Branstad Always been a Piss Poor Speaker?

Maybe I was too young to really pay attention or care, but I don't remember Terry being horrible on the mic when he was Gov. It's almost as if he isn't trying because he knows he is going to run away with the election.

He's not good. You should have heard his speech at the GOP fundraiser at the Fairgrounds late last year. Ouch.

I don't believe that you have to be a great speaker to be a good Gov. Just surprises me how unpolished TB is.

Both he and the Big Lug are bad public speakers, so that's a warsh.

Terry gave the commencement address when I graduated from ILEA. He wasnt governor than and I remember thinking, "no way this dude will ever be governor."

He really is a very poor speaker. Frankly, however, we need to get away from that in politicians. I prefer competence to speaking ability.
