This is very cool, just got it installed.
So what's good out there that's available now? Shows, movies, anything. I need to fill my instant queue.

I just got the disc today. The streaming on the PS3 is very cool (though I've had trouble with HD movies).

Should get mine tomorrow. Be prepared for several threads on how to install it and hook up whatever needs to be attached so I can stream movies too.

It's cool. I got the disk a few weeks ago. Nice to have so many titles available at will.

It's great that the consoles have this option now, but I'm surprised that people haven't been streaming on their computers. That ability has existed for several years, no disk necessary.

Noob question: What's the best way to connect computer to tv?

Depends on the computer. That's probably why more people haven't been doing so.;)
Easiest is HDMI out, or DVI to HDMI cable. Toughest is if you just have a VGA out, in which case you'd need a converter thingie that costs around $50. Or just install a TV tuner with HDMI or DVI out, which is about the same price. That's if you don't have/need a console for any other purpose.

Isn't the PS3 limited to 720p? Not that it matters much, because the vast majority of Netflix streaming content isn't in HD anyway.

Duh, it's a Wii. The Xbox can output a higher video quality.

No.
My mistake. I must have been confusing games with HD video output.
Doing a little reading, apparently there are even a small handful of 1080p games but the title selection blows. Obviously doesn't have the horsepower to do it without upscaling, at least with modern titles.

Yes, most games are 720p, but it is 1080p capable. I guess the only 1080p content I've seen it kick out is Blu-Ray.
I have no idea what resolution the Netflix is, but I would guess it's 720p.

I think it's all 720p. At least I haven't seen any 1080p yet but who knows.
I wonder if the average Netflix customer even has the bandwidth to facilitate 1080p streaming.

That's what I'm thinking, that bandwidth has as much to do with the resolution as anything else.
