View Full Version : Tallgrass - bought my GF1
So far, so good. I got the 14-45 and the 45-200. A buddy of mine recommended the pancake instead of the 14-45 but I didn't really think my wife would get the same usage. Also nabbed a few 16 gb cards (class 6). It's amazing how much smaller this rig is compared to my rebel xt. Even the lenses are about 2/3 the girth. Not cheap, but so far, so good. I have yet to play with the movie mode. If i am happy with it I may unload my rebel and my vixia hf10 on ebay.
thanks for the info.

Your post intrigues me but I just have absolutely no idea what the topic is.

This calls for a pancake-headed bunny picture.

Sweet. The Gf1 has been a huge hit. IIRC, it has nabbed something like 15% of the interchangable lens market in Japan. Let me know how the 45-200 lens works out for ya. I'm debating whether to drop coin on that one or what for the promised 100-300.
I was really close to swapping my G1 for the Gf1, but I don't think I could live without the articulating LCD anymore.

the local place had the g1 so much cheaper it wasn't even funny. they have it for 599 + you get the 45-200 for 99 bones. comparatively it was noticeably bigger and the deal breaker was that screen. and the movie mode. seriously...i didnt do a lot of research on it but the screen bugged me so i just let it go.

The facial recognition is nice, but I don't hardly use it. Doesn't work the best on a swift moving 15 mo old.
