Disposing/Recycling of Computers

Is there a place (Best Buy, etc.) where you typically drop your old computer's off to recycle/donate?

Sitting with a laptop and desktop that are eating up some space in an office....

If you put it on ebay, someone might buy it for parts and pay for shipping. I got rid of an old computer that way.

o.k. thanks...I was thinking of the as well as Best Buy has a program to drop off. Are there programs to clean the hard drive for clearing SS#'s, etc?

There is now a Goodwill in Iowa City that takes old computers (Goodwill Reboot). You might see if there is one like that by you.

I'd make sure the HD is scrubbed first.

I've used KillDisk (http://www.killdisk.com/) before to scrub the drive.
