eh.
I would like to see what Ed Kowalcyzk has been doing. Jimmy Cliff would be cool, 20 years ago.

There's roughly 5 bands I'd pay to see in that.
Does The Verve Pipe's 25-minute set include two encores of the live, extended-bridge version of "The Freshman"?

They have another 1/2 hour timeslot on Sunday.
I got Pixies tix for September yesterday.
2 many Djs would be good to see live. I remember the Lollapalooza at the fairgrounds fondly. STP, AIC, Dino Jr., Primus, etc. 17 years ago. Wow.

All of the Kids' stage sets are short. In 2008 I happened to walk by when Slash walked out on the Kids stage for an unannounced set. Good stuff.
Definitely not as good of a lineup as the past few years, but I'm still looking forward to it.

So I went on Friday and Sunday (had to go to a wedding on Saturday). I saw the following bands/groups/people for anywhere from 3 songs to the whole set:
Friday
Drive-By Truckers
The New Pornographers
Dirty Projectors
The Black Keys
Jimmy Cliff
Lady Gaga
The Strokes
Sunday:
Company of Thieves
Blitzen Trapper
Mumford & Sons
Hockey
Yeasayer
Frightened Rabbit
MGMT
The Temper Trap
The National
Soundgarden
Arcade Fire
The highlights for me were The Black Keys, The Strokes, Mumford & Sons, The Temper Trap and Arcade Fire.

Sounds like a good event. Heard that Mumford & Sons played in the mid-day heat, but put on a hell of a show. Saw a few clips of The National... always good stuff.
The Strokes & Arcade Fire would be very cool to see too.

I should come to Chicago for this next year and stay on your couch*.
* which becomes the floor halfway through the night as I realize I am too short for your couch.

I really need to hit a Lollapalooza at some point but I fear that I maybe too old anymore.
