Default LOL at, er Best of Cyclone Fanatic 3

Clone fans are trying too hard.

There is a photo of some Hawkeye football players doing what, well, young men their age typically do. Hawkeye football players and friends are posing for a "crew" picture and there is beer present. None of the players in the photo have a beer in their hand or doing anything illegal. But....CyNation is in an outrage!

To be fair, a retard by the e-name of "tweeterhawk" got the ball rolling. At least as far as I can tell. "Tweeterhawk" thought it was a great idea to show all of HawkeyeNation just how super terrific he/she is and posted a direct link to a facebook photo. Yeah, facebook (creepy).

Now, I'm not going to post the photo but you can click the thread or take a look at this Cyclone blog where it is posted under the headline: How Many Underage Hawkeyes Can You Find In This Picture? The blog post is shit. It's filled with racial undertones like "Jewel Hampton's bling" and "Jewel's jailhouse tat." Oh, and the best part, "who's behind the camera? Lot's of white women."

Well, of course, CyFan cruised the Hawkeye board and posted the pics there. Here are some of the responses from our favorite place:

Al_4_State writes:
Now, where is Kirk's broom and rug?
EddieISU says:
Instant Classic! I'm still laughing my butt of at work over that picture. Can't wait til my little hawk fans come back from lunch to show them how their pride and joy have been doing in the "off season".
Cybyassociation thinks:
....David Sims.

Lets take care of our internal problems before we go prodding about the Hawks
Which brings me to Sims, what are they saying about his news today?

Frak says:
Sorry, but if we are kicking players off the team for this, we might as well eject to CUSA right now.
Frak got one thing right.

The Architect opines:
.
You're joking right? This charge is hardly serious...
clonedude thinks:
If he gets nothing, then fine. At least we're joining the big boys in terms of how we dish out punishment. But we can no longer put ourselves above Iowa in terms of our discipline. Which is fine by me. If we want to win, we need to find a way to keep our best players on the field. Iowa has done it for a while now. We might as well too, right?
Cystorm is thinking positive:
I keep thinking about the kind of player/competitor David is, his on-field accomplishments and team "iron-man" and the more I think about it, the more I feel like a 1 or 2 game suspension is going to be enough to push him harder, and we will see an "angry Sims" when he gets to play. This excites me
mikem weighs in:
The other kids that have been kicked off the team have been for drug stamp violations, and of course rape. But a lot of the players with assault charges were never kicked out (Aiello, etc).

But other than that, Kirk has been extremely lax on the discipline of his players. It goes all the way back to Benny Sapp, who was arrested five times in IC before then AD Bob Bowlsby had him removed against the wishes of Ferentz.

If I were an Iowa State fan, though, I would hope that Rhoads hands out discipline like Ferentz does.
And I'm sure the gift that keeps on giving will provide more and more and more and....

I almost posted this picture the other day (ARob posted it on his facebook page a few days ago). I thought it was cool that they were playing beer pong. It's a fun game.

No, a gay Cyclone blog posted a picture of mostly 21 year-olds drinking and thought it was a huge deal. CF confirmed.

The comments on the Cyclone blog are some of the gayest shit I've ever read on the internets.

It is simply a shame that the Big 12 managed to pull it together, however shortlived that will be. Those websites would be even more priceless.

The victim finally speaks:

http://www.gocyclones.com/news.php?ID=3015

The folks on CR have turned themselves inside out trying to find a way to explain this as an innocent thing by Sims, who was almost certaintly innocently "loaned" the card by the owner's son.

What kind of dipshit, knowing he is a prominent figure in a small community, goes into a Foot Locker, buys their most expensive shoes, and comes back 45 minutes later to do the same thing?

I would really like to know who the coaching staff, and administration, at ISU have contacted re: this, and how this young man suddenly has the jack to pay this off immediately, as well has hire a multi-thousand dollar lawyer.

Sims is a history major at ISU.
He clearly didn't study the history of what happens to football players when they steal other people's credit cards in the state of Iowa.

How is this only a misdemeanor charge? Seems a bit more serious given the intent involved.
