Well I hoped that worked, its a bummer that the closest they will be coming to Florida is DC. Seriously considering making the drive.

Yes, he is.
Bearbull, have you been up to Nicko's place in Coral Springs? My brother has been there several times, and was invited to the private New Years Eve party where Nicko jammed with his house band. He says it was awesome. Link to restaurant: http://www.rocknrollribs.com/ |

A guy who I work with recently had a friend of his who took Bruce Air (see link) to the Iron Maiden show in Valencia, Spain.
http://www.ironmaiden.com/index.php?..._articleid=821 That's all that I've got regarding Iron Maiden.

I have The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner on my iPod. I also had this CD back in the day. IM is a good band.

Having heard good things about this album (including in this thread), but not owning any Iron Maiden already... what's the best route? Start with something older, or jump in on the new stuff?

I would probably start out with their early stuff. Anything before, and including, Fear of The Dark would probably get you going pretty well. If you're not actually buying the music I say download the whole discography and put it on shuffle and spend the next 6 months listening to that (what I did).
