Thinks Tom Cruise is a Great Actor

Enjoy the last 2 blowouts and finishing the season with 6 straight losses. All you have to look forward to is de-commits of guys like Delano Hill in December and January, potential transfers, perhaps Campbell leaving for a better job, eventual late offers to guys with offers from South Dakota State or the MAC and the signing of the worst class since 2008.
We will have the usual Signing Day press conference in February where Ferentz looks like dogshit and will finally declare that Greg Davis is coming back after 2 months of silence. Then it is on to Spring Ball where Ferentz will look surprisingly well rested and tan from his week on a cruise ship. Spring will bring the usual 1 or 2 devastating injuries during the first few weeks of practice. From there, people will happily show up to the Spring "Game" and realize that none of the QB's have developed worth a shit under Greg Davis and the Offense looks the exact fucking same right down to the 3 yard out on 3rd and 4. You will get the usual transfers after Spring Ball and into the summer until finally arriving at August. I will of course be full of pep and optimism, likely posting ridiculous predictions such as the D-Line will be good and Iowa will win at least 8 games. I'll be on the Ferentz bandwagon the same as always. Fall camp will get under and then the season will almost be here. Enjoy!

I am hoping that the whole Mayan calendar thing is right so that we do not have to suffer through hawkeye football next season... the end of the world is preferable at this point.

I'd be fine with this.
Also, I think Ol' Doug's pretty much spot on.

Fuck getting former players. Players like Bob and Dwight were great because they were physical freaks. You can't teach that.

I'm willing to give bf and woods a pass. The oline was actually decent before the two starters went down. The players seem to like levar and its not fair to judge his impact on the dline because we all (or most of us) knew going in to the season that it was going to be a problem.
Parker gets the finger for not putting a scheme and players in place to compensate for the line. Fuck him. |

It actually pretty much has been a dog crap team in a pretty much dog crap conference. Denial doesn't change that.
That said, I'm glad to hear Kirk use the word. It is out of character, and tells me that he's frustrated. The behavior that frustration results in ... hunker/double down vs realization that major changes are needed ... will determine how his tenure ends. I think odds are 75-25 at best that hunker/double down is the response. He's stubborn, and I doubt the sting of abysmal embarrassment is enough to overcome it. Is Ray Hamilton questionable as a transfer as well? Also, Iowa might be slight favorites to start next season at home vs. NIUE, who returns quite a bit. Could have to wait until Missouri State to get off the slide.

So far according to rivals we have one 4-star (a safety), thirteen 3-stars, and one 2-star.

Our stud 4-star S is getting interest from LSU, so you can bid him farewell. Our other 4-star already left to Indiana.
We have a commit from a QB whose other offer was Lamar. No D-ends or RBs. No problem.

the new rivals 250 is out. iowa is really in great shape with several kids on there (plus scheel) which is a goddamned miracle considering whats going on. pretty much every kid mentions how iowa is attractive due to putting guys into nfl and the fan support.
QB thorson, RB jones or wilbon, ATH scheel, OT pierschbacher would all be great gets
