Poll to follow:
Also, am I bad for selling my Neb tickets on Stub Hub? Should I try and find an Iowa fan to purchase them or just eat them? Last edited by Kerky; 11-12-2012 at 01:23 PM. |

Depends on how bad you need the money. I would probably rather eat them than sell to a Nebraska fan.

That doesn't seem real fiscally responsible, Troop.

You aren't going to get jack shit for Nebraska tickets now. The market is flooded with almost 2,000 tickets and people are having trouble selling them for face.

Fuck that. I've had season tickets for 6 years, this being my last, and I am ecstatic at the possibility that some rube Nebraska fan will take them off my hands for above face value. We're putting ours on Stubhub this afternoon. I've gone to 6 games this year, and none of them have been fun, save for maybe the Minnesota game. I've had enough of this shitshow. Also the in-game presentation at Kinnick Stadium and the obvious increase in media timeouts have really worn on me. You can ignore that shit when there's a good product on the field, but there isn't and there won't be for the foreseeable future.

Dad and I each have 2 season tickets (4 total) and I told him to sell them since we're all going out of town for Thanksgiving (I decided this after the Indiana fiasco) and told him, "do not sell to any Husker fans."
Got a check in the mail, and a thank you letter from one of his buddies and it said, "You've made a Hawkeye, A Cyclone and a couple Husker fans very happy!" Should I defriend dad on FB and ignore him the rest of the week? |

It's been several years since we've had a dog catching frisbees for halftime. Let's start that back up.

I'd love to roll out of bed at 7:30 on Black Friday, have some coffee and a slice of leftover pumpkin pie for breakfast, go to work for a couple hours and then go home and watch the game on tv. Maybe catch a nap. Beats the hell out of the Kinnick experience in 2012. |

I have had season tickets since my freshman year in 1998. Since that time the u of I has increased prices, decreased parking, increased hassling tailgaitters, never been able to work the sound system, and the HMB is the least entertaining band I heave ever seen, ever.
And to be honest, I can live with all of that as long as the football team is winning, and even if they are losing but with evidence they are working hard to figure out a solution. But now I don't have that either. I feel the university has taken the fans for granted and decided long ago that it didn't matter what they did to us, there was plenty of demand. Now I think their lack of customer service is going to bite them in the ass, and I don't feel bad about it. If the university doesn't want you to sell your tickets to Nebraska fans then maybe they should do something to show you your business is important. |

My sister just sold two for $300 each.
She did not respond when I inquired as to whether or not an HJ was included.

Have had 2 season tix since 2008...I would get rid of them and get BB tix if I lived within an hour of IC...a little hard to justify drive over for BB right now (from DSM) given the sheer number of trips

Good to see I just got asked to donate more money to the University today by Barta. Wonder if the shitty football season has anything to do with it.

I'd sell them to anybody who is willing to buy.
But I've reached near apathetic level for Hawkeye football. If the fan you sell them to buys something at the concession stand and pays for parking, the athletic department has benefitted. Either way, whatever. |
