I voted yes. If KF left, I would most certainly be "ok".

I don't think it's in iowas best interest for him to leave right now.

Based on the KC job opening, thought I should bump this mother effer.

I wonder about this. I give KF more credit than this, some of those play calls are from morons.
LOL. Like you would know better calls?

The conservative nature of he calls stem from KF. If it was left completely up to kok, you'd see the Hawks take more chances and more wide open play.
I certainly believe this is true. I used to be about the most vocal KOK critic around, but again finally started to believe Kirk when he said such&such play was his call.

That said, it was likely KOK's call on the play action pass in our own EZ that got Stanzi injured and the first loss of the year in 2009, so I still don't think KOK is a great offensive mind by any means.

KOK was fucking awful in Lincoln, which has left a worse than usual taste in my mouth regarding his playcalling.

From Peter King's MMQB..

5. I think these sound like the top five college coaching candidates for NFL head coaching jobs, per chats with front office people in the last two weeks (in order):

1. Chip Kelly, Oregon
2. David Shaw, Stanford
3. Brian Kelly, Notre Dame
4. Kirk Ferentz, Iowa (even coming off the bad season at Iowa, he's well-respected in the NFL)
5. Doug Marrone, Syracuse.

I didn't include Bill O'Brien of Penn State because (and call me naïve) I can't see him preaching love of, and loyalty to, Penn State, and then leaving after 12 months. But never say never in this business

Can you imagine being an NFL fan whose franchise hires Ferentz to be their head coach?

The greasy diarhea of an old man who, following in the footsteps of our last football coach from Texas, just enjoyed a meal at La Casa.

Ferentz's ego would never make it through one complete media session in an NFL city.

except maybe KC. Fan apathy has set it and now that Whitlock doesn't cover the chiefs there are virtually no local reporters with stones. Like ESPN, everyone wants to be chummy.
