AJ Derby's team got smoked 35-7. He was pretty terrible again. 19/36 for 202 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT and -25 yards rushing.

Coker had 75 yards and a TD.

Coker is the bridesmaid on that team. Other dude apparently ran for 171.

Bucs waived G/C Julian Vandervelde.
Vandervelde's stay in Tampa lasted all of two days. A fifth-round pick of the Eagles last season, Vandervelde appeared in only one game as a rookie. He'll look for practice-squad work.

I put this in the other thread as well.

Derby has been fucking AWFUL this year as a QB. Here are his stats for each game:

Game 1 - 13/43, 248 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 12 yards rushing - Loss
Game 2 - 19/36, 204 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, 11 yards rushing - Loss
Game 3 - 15/27, 230 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT, 0 yards rushing - Win
Game 4 - 10/30, 130 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 41 rushing yards - Win in overtime
Game 5 - 9/24, 97 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 68 rushing yards - Win

Totals - 66/136 (48.5%), 909 yards, 9 TD, 6 INT, 132 yards rushing - 3-2 record

He might have trouble getting another FBS scholarship. He is horribly inaccurate and doesn't run all that well against terrible competition.

McCall and Coker aren't exactly tearing it up either. Just shows that they were more likely a product of Iowa's system and line than some great talents.

Their four stars were a product of Iowa's system?

Coker isn't "tearing it up" because he isn't the lead running back.

McCall wasn't a 4* as far as I remember.

Also, your last sentence says a lot as well.

It's not just that Coker isn't starting - he's only averaging 4.1 YPC.

Maysonet was the conference offensive player of the year. Of course Coker isn't going to come in and start.

I said it in the main forum, but he is in Snyder's backyard. I think he will end up at KState. Big 12 defenses are turrible

What happened? Those in the know said he couldn't make it academically at JuCo. This will irritate me if he makes it at ISU.

Listen, both the Davis brothers got into ISU. They will take anyone breathing. I have no idea how Coe can get into a D1 institution.

Correct. A whole lot of people wanted him to convert to DE and now that he has we don't want him. Right on.

That's good to see. If he stayed stuck on the practice squad on that shitty Philadelphia team that would have been a very bad sign.

Coker had 12 carries for 56 yards in a 16-10 loss to Montana State in the 1-AA Round of 16. Finished with just over 1000 yards as the #2.
