Fuck you Ferentz for not interviewing him for the DC position. (Maybe he did...but still FU!)

Eight of Notre Dame's defensive starters have Rivals ratings of 5.7 or higher. 3 had 6.0 or better.

One of the 3 without a rating was T'eo or whatever his name is, and he was a 5 star. Not sure why Rivals doesn't list a rating for him.

It could be coaching, or it could be having 10 times the talent. Maybe both.

What makes us think he'd have taken at interview for the Iowa DC job?

I'd like him to be our head coach, but that ship will soon sail.

I'm sure Bobby Diaco was going to leave a loaded Notre Dame team as the Defensive Coordinator so he could interview at Iowa for half the money.

It wasn't my point. I'm pointing out the fact that even if he was remotely interested, Ferentz was going to give Parker the DC job.

Great point. Then fuck Ferentz for not interviewing Nick Sabin for the defensive coordinator too.

Ferentz should have re-animated Bear Bryant and interviewed him too.

The "half the pay" comment is true and is a telling issue in itself.

If he stays at ND another year and Iowa has another terrible year, maybe he'll come back as Head Coach and bring a bunch of Hayden people. Slater Hall.

The Boston College coach is done. Diaco has been mentioned as a leading candidate there but with Notre Dames success he may have a shot at the Auburn or Illinois jobs.

Found an old article on Glonek...Apparently he was very highly recruited and ended up at Iowa after being denied admission at Notre Dame and Illinois..then transferred to Arizona

Don't remember much else other than the name..I was only 17 at the time

My favorite Diaco tackle was the one where he pounced on the pile and got credit for a solo. He was a huge douche back in the day, but maybe he's changed. Hell, even if he hasn't, I don't care. Douchey coaches seem to do better than their "nice" counterparts.

I think that may be the James Morris tackle now.

I didn't think he was that bad, people in college can tend to be douches. I would say there were some more well known on the team at that time that were bigger db's.
