I'm trying very hard not to hold his being Greg Davis' pet recruit against him, but his mechanics look okay to me. Standard fare Iowa QB. If "it" (progressions, not shitting the bed in the pocket") "clicks" for him, he'll probably start here at some point. I don't think he'll be great, but perhaps serviceable, depending upon what's between his ears.

He'll probably end up starting at safety once Miller graduates.

I wonder what his recruiting classes at BGSU and Utah were ranked. That said, he has elevated OSU's recruiting in pretty short order.

I don't think he outright cheats, but I'm sure he's comfortable operating in the grey areas of the rule book. Frankly, I wouldn't mind if Iowa followed suit.

All these schools operate, at the minimum, in the gray area. 99.9% go beyond and knowingly commit violations. Anyone that doesn't believe that to be true is naive.

Personally, I hope Iowa gave fat stacks to seal the deal with Reggie Spearman. It might make me feel like they actually care. This mystical belief that we're above that at Iowa or in the Big Ten is one of the two or three funniest things of all time.

this "Iowa State recruits Florida" story made me laugh.

He received national letters of intent from nine Floridians Wednesday. The only other non-Florida college representing a BCS conference with more was Kentucky, at 11.

Why?
