As far as Iowa football goes, this is thinking outside the box; but I don't see too much reward in doing this. Oh well, enjoy it Metroites.

Really? Bringing the program to Central Iowa where THE MEDIA! has been less than friendly and Iowa State has been gaining traction recently is a very smart thing.

Ah, I see. I'm not fortunate enough to live in The Metro! so I wasn't aware there was an issue. I figured there was some benefit to doing it, but I figured recruiting and fan support were fine in the DM area.

Again, I'm all about thinking outside of the box, and if this improves Iowa standing in the state (and at minimal cost), I'm all about it.

I'd say Iowa fans still outnumber ISU fans in the metro, however ISU has definitely increased their presence and gaining fans.

there are a lot more kids that are going to be D1 coming up in the CIML the next 2-3 years than years past. Being our staff doesnt like to get on a plane to recruit, its a great idea.

and the media in central Iowa def loves them some ISU. This cant hurt.

Going back to actually beating Iowa State consistently might do more than having a football practice in West Des Moines.

that might require occasionally tweaking the game plan or adding some new wrinkles. Do not see it happening any time soon.

I wonder if they will bring that play clock that seemed to run quicker during a game last season to the school.

I like it, but as alluded to in the end it matters much less than the quality of the product - to both fans and recruits. You don't lose half or more of your games against Iowa State and "lock down" the state.
