Default Manning getting injured = justice

Or at least Pat Robertson seems to think so. He's upset that Tebow was treated "shabbily".

Quote:
"And you just ask yourself, OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he's been injured," Robertson said. "If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right."

Wow. Manning's not even gay and Roberts still seems to be willing to go out of his way to curbstomp him.

Not in what he quoted anywhere. That's quite the leap. (I did not open the link and read the context)

Sure it is. Everything is 'code' with that unsufferable prick.

I saw someone else freaking out about this yesterday. "Pat Robertson thinks God is going to injure Peyton Manning!!!" I don't get it.

Robertson is saying that he thinks Tebow is good, and the Broncos ran him off for someone who was injured. He thinks it will serve the Broncos right if they lose their new guy and don't have the old guy there anymore. I don't find that terribly controversial, other than his view that Tim Tebow is a good NFL quarterback.

It sounds more like ill feelings toward the Broncos than any real desire for a Manning injury. Robertson has said enough stupid things that he should have learned to think a bit before making an ass of himself, again.

As a Bronco fan, I think getting rid of Tebow as almost as big as a positive as getting Manning. Even if Manning gets hurt and never plays again, they can focus on getting a regular QB and avoid the Tebow circus. I had a feeling Tebow would be just good enough to keep everyone excited and have a few dramatic fourth quarter wins, but would never make Denver a more than average team.

Yeah, the idea of karma isn't exactly controversial, unless you're F&B.

I will say that as a Bears fan i would find it poetic if Manning get injured and they have to go with Caleb Hanie the remainder of the year.

I don't even think it's karma. I think he's just saying it's bad long-term planning.

Right. It would be justice, for them (the Broncos), if Manning got hurt. And, no, I'm not claiming that he said God was going to injure Manning.

Does Pat Robertson regularly comment on football matters?

No but he seems to frequently preach the Christian doctrine of karma.

It doesn't matter come December 21. Lots of people will be injured then and football will sorta be on the back burner.

I'll agree that many Christians blame negative happenings on the perceived sin of the 'victim' or whatever, but as MikeyJoe pointed out, this isn't that case.

I guess I missed Pat's concern on the 1,372,736 trades, waivers, realeases, and free agency moves prior to Tebow's situation.

I am sure he misses your concern on the 1,372,736 other comments he has had on other topics prior to his Tebow comment.

Oh I doubt it. It's just funny that people think his comments aren't Christially motivated, and that he's concerned about the Broncos' long term QB situation, is all.

Do people really think that?

I thought it was a given that any comment made by him is Christially motivated regardless of the topic.

Pat's just pissed that the church's new spokesperson has been called out for being a shitty QB.

And there's no way this doesn't relate to Tebow's Christardedness İPerham

i am stunned at those that think the broncos went "all in" with manning. they lose nothing, other than salary. they didn't have a qb before that signing and they won't have one if he gets hurt. looks like a win-win to me.
