it's probably a good thing they aren't rejecting them.

Did I miss it or did they not state the renewal deadline?

Also, it appears they are offering a "mini-season" package - terms to be determined. Is that new?

If I remember correctly, the season ticket deadline is 4/26. I believe they offered mini-season pkg in the past, but after season ticket deadline.

BTW, Nebraska game is now listed as Friday or Saturday, yet to be determined. Whatevs, just give me more drinking time in Lincoln if I don't have to wait until after Thanksgiving dinner to drive over there.

And 97.9% of the people that swore they wouldn't renew will be writing checks shortly.

Sad but true, F&B. I'll likely attend fewer, and be more open to groaning and booing when I do, but I'm probably just not quite ready to let go yet. I'm glad Buffett remains firm in his resolve. I hope there are more like him. To send a message and, of course, for Jimmie's sake.

It appears I will renew on behalf of others. I'll have a first option to purchase any games they don't want to attend. I might go to one.

I might not buy season tickets even if I lived in Iowa City for this upcoming season. Going to be a year long raperoom.

We're going to suck, but outside of the game in Columbus, we really don't play anyone who's all that good. I hate "look how close we were to 8-4!" with the fire of a thousand suns, but I think we're looking at another season with the significant majority of the contests being ugly, one score affairs as opposed to rape-y blowouts.

I've used the phrase 'rapey' pretty regularly since memorial day weekend, 2008.

I reserve my right to see and hear about spring practice/game before renewal. I usually wait till late in the renewal period anyway.

This is where I am too, but there almost always are reports, oftentimes b.s. reports, that give me something to be excited about. I can't imagine a spring with so little positivity - real or faux - that I'd get to that point undecided and then fall off the fence away from the Hawks.

Maybe a "Rudock looks shaky but he's clearly the best we've got" vibe would do it.

I'm very, very sour. At this point, it's real hard to see me getting beyond an optimistic trepidation that I'm almost certain I'll later regret. I think it would take wins vs. NIU and ISU to get beyond that feeling.

Greg Davis has already taken one kidney. I don't have any more organs I'm sparing for this team.

I'm sure you're going to change the channel when Iowa is tied 10-10 in the 4th quarter so you can watch 'a better game'

If rather tailgate with my friends and enjoy Saturday morning than sit by myself at home because I hate the offensive coordinator.

I'm betting CR is the type of person that can even fuck up a good tailgate though.

I love the college football atmosphere, experience, tailgating, etc., however there is something to be gained by staying at home.

1) Don't have to get up at 4:30 am
2) No worrying about who will drive your drunk ass home from the game
3) Can get a work out, round of golf in, etc. prior to kick off
4) Can have friends over and have a pseudo tailgate

So much this.

1) Getting up at 4:30 is part of the experience. You know when I get up that early? To go drinking or to go hunting. Very rarely do I get up early for something not awesome.

2) It's predetermined before lift off, so never an issue. (anymore)

3)

4) I wouldn't have anyone around since my friends would be at my tailgate in Iowa City.

1) I get up at about 3:30, which is only about an hour earlier than I get up every other single day of the year.

2) ditto

3) no words

4) I started going because of my friends. I too would be home alone if I didn't go.

The last two times I was intended to drive home, my crew had to find shelter in Iowa city.
