MH, I"m glad that you've popped the cherry on this issue. Those lips of his have troubled me for quite some time. The list of possibilities which I have come up with is as follows:

1. He loves the Grape Soda
2. Unusually high blood flow to the lips, giving them a more reddish hue than normal for a black man
3. He's cold, dammit
4. Created by aliens who did not have a complete color palette with which to work
5. He's the Son of Freaking God, so quit asking questions
6. Ever so slight coating of lipstick, because he likes it

I'm going with #4.

maybe he has thursh. it's a yeast infection of the mouth. it's treated with an anti-fungal and the meds can leave a purple-colored tone on the face and mouth. it's common in babies and older adults. or maybe he REALLY likes grimace from mcdonalds.

The "meds" you're talking about don't leave a purple colored tone. You're referring to gentain violet, and the purple is a staining usually transferred from the mom's breast to the baby's mouth.

Me too. In fact, I've always looked upon him as the purple-lipped candidate who happens to be black. I've often said the only reason he got elected was because of his purple lips, which is why some posters call me a lipcist.
