IMHO, more importantly he went down there weeks ago before anyone else even noticed the spill and he talked to people. Don't you understand? That's all he has to do. He talked to them. Obama talking can fix it all.

When Professor Obama called on you in Con Law class it wasn't to educate anyone. It was to bust your ass wide open.

His skin is nearly as thin as his understanding of economics and crisis management.

I did a Google search for "Obama Ass Kicker" and this came up. My only explanation is that it came from Mr. Hawk's private collection:

I wonder how many different permutations of that they focused grouped:

I'm gonna rip somebody a new one......naw, too rednecked

I'm gonna make somebody my bitch......obviously, too edgy/ghetto

Once I find somebody to blame, I am really going to look consternated.....first take, rejected

We all know who to blame....Cheney ........let's save that for a really serious moment

"I don't sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick."
Uh huh.

And, in other news...

Quote:

The 1,700-student high school in southwest Michigan landed Obama as its commencement speaker after winning the national Race to the Top High School Commencement Challenge. It was among three finalists picked through public voting on the schools' videos and essays, and the White House made the final selection.
The administration cited Kalamazoo Central's 80 percent-plus graduation rate, improvements in academic performance and a culturally rich curriculum.

"I think that America has a lot to learn from Kalamazoo Central about what makes for a successful school in this new century," Obama said, listing community and parent involvement and high standards set by teachers.

"You could have made excuses—our kids have fewer advantages, our schools have fewer resources, so how can we compete? You could have spent years pointing fingers—blaming parents, blaming teachers, blaming the principal or the superintendent or the government," the president said.
"But instead, you came together. You were honest with yourselves about where you were falling short. And you resolved to do better."
Well, shazam.

Finally, transparency, although I don't think he wanted his faux rage to feel so scripted.

Look for his handling of this to now be approved by 99% of Americans.

After all, "I was down there a month ago before most of these talking heads were even paying attention to the Gulf," Obama said.

I'm sure the message will be quite effective among his base, who've been highly critical of his handling of the Gulf spill thusfar.

I have a hard time picturing any of the great Presidents using the phrase "whose ass to kick."

"The only thing we have to fear, is me, and whose ass I'm going to kick."

"Four score and seven years ago, I started looking for whose ass I was going to kick. Thankfully, the Confederate States formed and the ass kicking commenced."

"Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall! Or I'll kick your ass!"

I'm sure his statement will seem "cool" and "awesome" to all of my Facebook friends, however.

I think it's safe to say that Obama acted stupidly.
