A poster on Hawkeyereport is saying that backup FB Wade Leppert is leaving the team.

based on his bio he's a pretty smart kid, perhaps being passed by Rogers he decided to focus on academics? While not the highest of profile positions, beyond he and Morse the Hawks have no experience there.

i was just going to post this. he quit a few days ago. got passed up and was getting zero reps over the past few weeks so he said fuck it.

He lived the dream - walked on and earned a bunch of playing time. Sounds like he was passed up, fair and square. I don't fault him for moving on to other things, but I don't feel bad that he was going to ride the pine either. That's what he signed up for.
