That would be nice. Isn't he still committed to Illinois?Reggie Spearman coming on an unofficial this weekend per Blair.
Yes but I gotta think that's not for long. There's no way you open up your recruitment, especially to three other schools in the league, and end up staying committed. That would be nice. Isn't he still committed to Illinois?Reggie Spearman coming on an unofficial this weekend per Blair.
Jewel Hampton!@#!@#! Bob Sanders!!@#!#!@!!! Dallas Clark!@#!#!@#!!!Iowa begins the annual tradition of raiding MAC commits a week from signing day. They snagged a big fish from Ball State today! Book your plane tickets, boyz, we are one step closer to the Rose Bowl.
Welcome to the family 5'10'' (likely 5'9'') Desmond King!
At least he's black.I'm seeing offers from IU and bucky
There is a 0% chance he had those offers (at least the Wisconsin) if he was still committed to Ball State since July.I'm seeing offers from IU and bucky
Unless you were offered by the old coach.Doug is right. You don't stay committed to ball st if Wisconsin has offered.
Lol wut?Unless you were offered by the old coach.Doug is right. You don't stay committed to ball st if Wisconsin has offered.
LolBrandonJ8?
I don't post there. At least I know dougs handle on TOS now
He wouldn't make it a semester in Iowa City.my buddy just texted me and said he heard that iowa is going after lanning now? i assume as safety?
If him and me were in a gas station buying alcohol they would ask to see my ID and not even check his, and I'm 27.This looks like it could be a 21-Jump Street situation.
Danny Almonte agrees. If him and me were in a gas station buying alcohol they would ask to see my ID and not even check his, and I'm 27.This looks like it could be a 21-Jump Street situation.
Greg Garmon looks like Gary Coleman compared to him.I think that's a picture of Greg Garmon.
fixedI think Lanning likely would have to play LB for DMACC
I was referring to the likelihood that he gets to or remains at Iowa. Nothing to do with his athletic ability. Strong rumors in the community lead to believe he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.I think he's probably a D-1 contributor, though not a star. I would have said the same thing about Jake Knott, and Lanning is a fairly similar high school athlete.
You continue to say this, but we have zero recruits at perhaps our biggest position of current and future need (i.e DE - and only WR is remotely close). It's certainly not an embarassing haul, but making it out to be program saving or even stabilizing is a huge stretch, IMO. It's a keep on keeping on type of class, and the question is whether that's enough to help change the current program trend line.if this is the type of class we now get after 3 crap seasons (compared to the 2008 class) then we are a pretty fucking good program.
This isn't even mentioning that half of these 3* guys would have likely been 2* guys back in 2008. Rivals and others have made the 3* the virtual base line for anyone with a FBS offer. You continue to say this, but we have zero recruits at perhaps our biggest position of current and future need (i.e DE - and only WR is remotely close). He would switch in a heartbeat. His interview after committing to ISU was hilarious.my buddy just texted me and said he heard that iowa is going after lanning now? i assume as safety?
Yeah, I think people are forgetting just how bad that class was Jason Semmes, Shane Prater, Casey McMillen, JD Griggs etc. Brad Herman was one of the higher ranked guys in that class.more overreaction. most of those guys you mentioned have multiple BCS offers. there were guys in 2008 that were FCS level, tops.
Bullshit.more overreaction. most of those guys you mentioned have multiple BCS offers. there were guys in 2008 that were FCS level, tops.
You have to be fucking kidding me.I think this class sucks. ive never been overly excited about it. not sure where you got that idea. however, factor in our record, and its decent.
i just think that our recruiting floor has raised significantly in the past few years, and if we are reaching for kids, we are reaching in favor of athleticism rather than position need.
Or he didn't. Idiots.I think Wade just trolled me. Dammit.
I have to second Doug here. You have to be fucking kidding me.I think this class sucks. ive never been overly excited about it. not sure where you got that idea. however, factor in our record, and its decent.
