Maybe he’s just faggot who lives next door to kinnick and doesn’t go to the tailgates or the games.
There isn’t great cell phone service at Kinnick. Which is not ideal for tossing TDS laden bows in the Trump thread.
USCellular for the win. Hardly any issues for at least the last two if not three years.
I have US Cellular, too. It’s way better this season than it has been for sure. But it is definitely still spotty at times.

Shit anymore we make it to one home game and one away game each year. My dad is 83 years old, a day at Kinnick is hard on the tough old bastard. I’d rather watch at home with him.

More importantly, who gives a shit? Really.
my dad is 73 and it’s hard enough

we will not be doing home games in 10 years
Took my 81 year old father to the Iowa/Indiana game. He’s an Indiana alum and one of the few that actually gives a shit about their football program. I actually felt kind of bad once Iowa started to really pull away. Anyway, my dad’s about 6’ 3” and probably 230 with knees that don’t really work (knee replacement on tap). I had to help him up and down the stairs and commandeer a golf cart to take him to and from the tailgate. Pretty hard to watch someone you idolized growing up give way to age. He’s a proud mf’er but he’s finally letting me take care of him.

Despite some challenges, it was a pretty fucking great weekend capped off by an Iowa win.

Edit: I know this was the wrong thread but Jimmy’s post struck a chord.

Surprised to see Iowa that big of a favorite over a team that will go bowling

They are no lock to go to a bowl game.

4-2 right now and the only sure win they have left is Illinois. Still have to play Michigan State, @Indiana, Ohio State and @Penn State and will be an underdog in all of those games.

PSD picked some opening line that was made by a four year old. I haven't seen Iowa - 10 anywhere.

As Doug mentioned Maryland can be explosive but they're pretty boom or bust. Iowa is traditionally very good at limiting big plays. I have some minor concerns about them potentially being able to get to edge against our defense as currently constructed but it's definitely a game we should be a healthy favorite in on paper.

I already sold my condo.... On eBay. The buyer was very motivated, as was I. It went for eighty percent of what I paid. Sold in record time.

Gervase has grown on me. He was very good yesterday.
Except when he was one on one in space. There were at least 3 times he completely whiffed yesterday.
Of course 1 on 1 open field tackling is the hardest thing to do but that part gets left out.
His attempted tackle on their QB was pretty pathetic. That being said, Gervase being the weak link is 10x better than Miles Taylor or Bo Bower being the weak links.

I feel like Welch has been a weaker link than gervase

If you reconsider it is possible to back out of the sale. Will probably hurt your reviews, however.

Sure, he's also playing out of position right? My point still stands. Welch and Gervase are much better than Taylor and Bower.

It seems as though Brandon Smith is trending towards becoming a big time playmaker here. Obviously don't need to rely on him much with the greatest TE tandem in the nation, but it is great to finally have a set of three good WR to throw out there (Smith, ISM and Easley).

Smith has already improved quite a bit since the start of the season. Still needs to learn to use his body, but markedly better than the Northern Illinois game.

I would say the position is still a big area of concern moving in to 2019 and beyond though

He was the backup MLB for most of last year and played there for at least part of the spring, I think, so not really.

I still think Tracy will be good. Hopefully not a significant fall off from Easley. Bell would be yuge

Welch seems way more MLB to me
Agree. He looked meh trying to cover the Wisconsin fullback on the wheel route. He’d have elite speed for an Iowa MLB. Perhaps faster than any to date.
That was Neimann, wasn't it? Welch played weakside which typically has the least coverage responsibility of the 3, I think.

No, it was Welch. It went to the boundary side of the play.

If Wade is still listed as the starting OLB I'm assuming the plan is probably to mostly stick with the 4-2-5 look for at least the next week, unless Neiman makes a lot of progress.

I don't think they've said the extent of it yet but he left early last game with a knee injury

Moss has been pretty good. That TD he gave up again IU was good coverage, just a really good catch/throw. I would kinda like Ojemudia for just this game because he's so good against the run, but as a cover corner I think Moss might be better. I'm assuming Hankins is still hurt even though he's listed on the depth chart.

OJ is way better in run support. Not close.

Moss is way better in coverage.

New Kirk is destroying offensive records and racial stereotypes.

Ojemudia is basically a very skinny outside linebacker
