There are high school games and youth level games today and this week. FCS plays this weekend. Power 5 conferences not led by fucking retards are practicing. Players that opted out are opting back in. Less than 2 weeks until they play games.

Movie theaters opening this week. Hospitalizations dropping, deaths still at a non-existent level for anyone not in a nursing home or with underlying health factors. New testing. New treatments. Vaccine coming.

Lolz.

CDC says asymptomatic testing is not necessary.

My son had a player over for dinner last night. Plan on both tackles opting out of a spring season, I'd be happy if one of ihmir/brandon plays. Our best DT is not in good standing.

Oliver Martin going to northern Colorado, not Nebrantska.

From a draft perspective, it seems like players playing in the spring might have one advantage. Their performance will be fresher in the minds of scouts. But of course an injury could completely fuck them over. So there's that.

This is fucking maddening. They could pull their head out of their ass today and announce they are going to start training camps up tomorrow and start playing in late September and finish in late December. It would make so much sense and they could even look at playoffs/bowls if things go well.

Nope, can't do that! Let's have a meaningless January/February/March (lol) "season" that half the players will opt out of.

Fucking pieces of shit.

What would happen if the schools quietly told the Big 10 that they are not interested in playing in the Spring and won't play?

Oh, really? Gosh that's too bad. Because we were totally going to have spring football. We were completely serious about it. Gonna rent some domes in the big regional cities and play ball. But if you can't make it, we understand. We'll cancel it. No big deal. Thanks for calling.

They aren't renting domes. Wouldn't they offer them free?

If, within 2 weeks of the successful completion of the the football season for every other conference, Karen Warren isn’t fired I will fucking riot.
That is the last hope for the fall. Maybe they see these early games go well and they have so much pressure that they move forward with an Oct-Dec season.

They have to be practicing fully, which isn't the conference allowing 12 hours per week?

I like that all these teams that are going to play are having little Covid outbreaks in their camps and are somehow managing to work through it. Meanwhile, the self anointed legends & leaders of the collegiate landscape took one look at the biggest challenge of their careers and punted.

Their hearts may explode at the stroke of midnight on September 1, 2059, and that's a risk we're just not willing to accept.

I bet if you get Karen drunk enough, he'd admit they fucked up and the only way to save face is stay the course and pray the virus spikes on campus and the other conferences panic and cancel. He's secretly cheering for Covid.

Absolutely. I can see him and the rest of them sitting in their office staring at the news and watching the phone hoping it rings with news that the other conferences are postponing. Been like that since the second they realized nobody other than the pussy Pac12 was following them.

It makes zero fucking sense for them to postpone until spring when they could have just planned an Oct-Dec season, and I will always hate them for that regardless of outcome.

Especially when everyone had been on campus training and practicing for weeks up until then. It was such a weird reversal.

At least ride it out until the last weekend before classes when students are all back and then 15 guys on the Minnesota defense test positive or something.

The team has to be practicing fully for at least a month to just start up the season in October. Didn't the big ten decide to limit team activities to 12 hours a week after they cancelled the season?
What's the normal limit?

Also, who cares if every audible isn't in place week one...just play the games and figure it out as you go.

I'm sure they would figure it out but 5 hours of practice field time (out of that 13 hours) a week isn't enough to get kids conditioned. So then we're looking at a big risk of injury since they're going to all be out of football shape.

Why are you answering these posts back as if the Big Ten would keep the limit to 12 hours if they are announce they are starting up again?

Gus was completely onboard with shutting down the country and was disseminating fear porn as fast as they could make it. Why? Why would he root against the well being of the country, the economy and American citizens?

Gus has been in cash and has missed out on hundreds of thousands of dollars of gains due to his hatred of the President of the United States of America. An embarrassing situation for which he has deservedly received universal ridicule.

Gus cheered and cheered for the virus because he was cheering for his own financial interests. China handed us lemons and he did his best to make viral lemonade, which would provide him a more palatable re-entry point and help him save face.

Gus is the why and the how for the University presidents who were all too willing to participate in this ruse.

Gus is why we don't have football.

Gus will try to deflect and downplay his role. Don't let him fool you with his comment, "I was all for them trying without fans." The only thing that isn't playing out exactly as he wanted is that sports are being played at every level all over this great country. A fact that he was unaware of just a few short days ago after returning home from a vacation with his family.

To the Country Club!!!

Because it was an NCAA decision.

And they would need to change the 12 hour decision well before games. So for an October season, they would need to be back practicing fully by early September, likely

I would bow random brants posts for a nearly year after the Giants beat the Royals in the World Series just to lash out. Please join me in bowing Gus posts regardless of content just so he remembers what he has done.
