Connor is a 4.
I was just confused since people on twitter want Keegan over him. Don’t think Keegan is ready for pg.Connor is a 4.
I’m rooting for you the rest of the way. I’d party w you.I felt pretty shitty about this team but woke up and realized something. They were in coin flip games against two top 10 teams over the past week. As shitty as the defense has been, they win at Illinois with competent officiating and beat OSU just by shooting their average on free throws and converting one or two of their missed point blank opportunities. That is how close they have been..even without CJ Fredrick, who clearly makes them a better team.
We can bitch and moan about the defense. Yea, if they were even remotely competent on defense they would be a top 3 title contender. It’s a shame, but we have to accept that the defense is shitty and even with that being the case they are a top 10ish team that is simply coming up a tad short right now. Nothing has changed that should indicate to us that the sky is suddenly falling.
Connor is a basketball player. His role changes based on the other 4 guys on the floor. It’s not hard, people.Connor is a 4.
Sure, but he can’t guard really quick guards or post players and has to have 3 guys on the floor who can shoot with him.Connor is a basketball player. His role changes based on the other 4 guys on the floor. It’s not hard, people.

Don't forget about Nunge and his amazing ability to bring the ball up the court.Connor, JT and Ulis
Everyone is a guard nowDon't forget about Nunge and his amazing ability to bring the ball up the court.
I appreciate the optimism and am in the same camp, but I wouldn't use this argument. Ohio State, a very good free throw shooting team, was 13/19, Iowa was 11/17. Iowa loses to Rutgers if Rutgers hits their shots, and Iowa beats Minnesota if Iowa does as well.I felt pretty shitty about this team but woke up and realized something. I get what you’re saying and I usually hate the “if only we had made more free throws or layups” argument. It’s true here though. Wieskamp and Garza are both leaving points at the line, uncharacteristic for Wieskamp’s career and Garza’s year. My point was more that the margin for error is really small in these games and those should climb back up.I appreciate the optimism and am in the same camp, but I wouldn't use this argument. Just leave it at this is still a top 10 or 15 team with a decent chance of playing on Sunday I. The BTT.
Wieskamp’s free throws look flatter this year.Wieskamp is under 70%. It’s honestly the strangest thing about this season. Garza was really good at the line until last year. I thought for sure he would bounce back and it would be a focus of his off season. For whatever reason it seems to be the only thing he mentally struggles with. Frederick also isn’t as good as you’d think from the line but I think it has more to do with the line drive nature of his shot.
Joe T is a great free throw shooter unless he misses the first one. I believe all 3 times this year he missed the first he ended up missing the second.
I’d have guessed hangover. How ya feeling, bud?The forecast is drunk.
I’m fine. Just been up monitoring a fucking brisket because my smoker is a piece of SHIT!I’d have guessed hangover. How ya feeling, bud?
Man, fuck you!!!!Live look at Ivan smoking some meats
I would have guessed Sal.Live look at Ivan smoking some meats
Could be?This game could be another full foot kick in the nuts
I’ve talked myself into it.Anyone feeling optimistic?
50/50Could be?
As a contrarian with little self confidence, the fact that I'm so down on this team right now gives me a strange sense of hope.I’ve talked myself into it.
What a creep.Live look at Ivan smoking some meats
They were doing a great job of running shooters off the line and forcing mid-range jumpers. Then switch to zone and give up set shot threes. Why do all of our wing defenders collapse to the post and leave a shooter wide open for three ALL THE TIME?!?!
I get why you play zone with Garza on the court. If he is on the bench, I don’t see any reason to be in zone. Especially with that lineup we had out there.Fuck this zone
Take out a second mortgage and bet everything you have, boyz. Iowa wins this one easily and gets right back on track.
Order has been restored. Apologies I gave up my responsibilities and let that fucking LOSER @DonJMiller start threads.
The end of the first half was a nutless coaching performance.Well that's on Fran
I posted it. Don’t blame me that they have one of the best players in the country and surround him with soft teammates and questionable coaching. This skid started not long after H&B posted video of “the beam” didn’t it?
